Lost again
Footsteps outside
But they won’t bring my strength
They just mark the end
And they won’t belong to him
Because he is lost now too
And I can’t inspire love anymore
I can’t feel his wild feelings
Sitting there beside me, inside me, watching me
Following my eyes
Like he was before
What is this love?
That leaves me, bereaves me, tricks me, deceives me
Entwines with my mind
Then weaves this web of weakness, sweetness
Then solitude and bleakness
And I can’t inspire hate anymore
I can’t feel his jealous feelings
Sitting there beside me, inside me, watching me
Following my shame
Down to the floor
Alone again
Footsteps outside
But they won’t bring my strength
They just mark the end
And they won’t belong to him
Because he is lost now too.
